Fortnite Myth Streamer Joins "Console Army"

In a hilarious and dramatic speech delivered on Twitch on December 24, 2019, professional Fortnite player and streamer Ali' Myth 'Kabbani explained that he left the keyboard to join the "controller's army."

The debate between controller and keyboard players has not abated for years, with mouse and keyboard seemingly being the optimal way to play, but many feel that aim assist swung the scales towards the controllers.

While some of the top players were bouncing back and forth, it looks like Myth trying to switch to a controller from mouse and keyboard, which would have been unprecedented just a few months ago and in any other game.

Myth has been one of the most popular Fortnite players since it was first released in September 2017, revolutionizing building in the game and showing the beginning of where mechanical abilities can take you to Victory Royale.

However, he recently took the liberty of trying his game, and in this dramatic on-stream speech, he explains his move.

“I'm going to dive into the game using the sticks,” he began. “I have one mission and one goal in mind. Since the army of controllers attacked the keyboard warrior nation, there has been a fierce struggle. They took all of our people. All the ammo, all the resources we had… went into a furious storm, into the fire. It's my mission to go undercover and dominate the controller's army.”

It might have been a bit of a dramatic answer to the simple question "Will you stick with a controller", but at least it was an answer.

During his short time using the controller, Myth has shown some serious talent that wouldn't look out of place against the best keyboard and mouse players, which can be very difficult to do.

It's entirely possible that one day he'll leave the controller army and join his fellow keyboard warrior land, but he seems to enjoy using the controller and has adapted well to change, so this might just be a permanent transition.
