Swords of Legends Online - Current Issues and Further Development of the Game
GameForge has published a (comprehensive) "letter" to the community addressing the current issues with Swords of Legends Online, as well as providing a detailed development roadmap for the game over the coming months.
So…
The new Battle Pass season starts tomorrow and you will get more cosmetic rewards. Pay-To-Win, no matter how it was, it's not.
GameForge is also in discussions with the Chinese about changes to raid drops to make the game "more rewarding for players."
Another thing is the much discussed and even more criticized "Testing Team" - a group of volunteers checked unpublished content and reported it to GameForge.
Our goal is to find experienced and active players who can provide meaningful feedback on pre-release content in a timely manner. We believe that allowing users to participate in this way will allow us to improve the game in the best possible way (and we promise not to waste 40 hours of their time...or something like that).
As for the non-disclosure agreement, which has put some people off because we're only talking about unpublished content here, that's standard procedure.
Hopefully the above explanation will help shed more light on what exactly this program is. For our part, we have certainly learned some communication lessons from this to make sure everyone is clear on our intentions based on what we say and write.
As for translation fixes, this is a known issue and GF is working hard to close the gaps as soon as possible. " The localization team checked about 800 thousand. words in 3 languages since the premiere and until now .
Finally, the further development of Swords of Legends Online was mentioned. At the request of players who want more challenging content, Extreme difficulty will be added to the game tomorrow, initially for two dungeons, but this number will increase soon.
It is also planned to introduce "Hard" and "Extreme" levels for raids, PvP multiplayer modes, winter events, etc.
If I were at GameForge, I would also take care of SOLO's better marketing and promotion, which is not enough at this stage. You hardly hear about Swords of Legends Online in the Russian and English media, not to mention the number of viewers on Twitch (maybe hire a few bigger streamers?).
