Teamfight Tactics: Rise of the Elements - New Champions and Classes (Set 2)
The major update for Teamfight Tactics is here! Riot Games has announced that TFT Set 2 is on the way, marking the start of a wider initiative to rotate a set of available TFT champions every few months.
“In order to leverage the wide range of lore, champions, and themes across the LoL universe, TFT on both PC and mobile will be releasing new champion and ability sets every three to four months,” Riot says. “The second set to be launched in TFT for PC will be called Rise of the Elements and will contain elemental-themed content, giving players the opportunity to create new and interesting strategies with other never-before-seen characters and items.”
Read on to find out everything we know so far about Rise of the Elements, for example, when these elements will appear, and who can we expect at this party.
When is TFT Set 2 coming out?
You only need to wait about two weeks! “Rise of the Elements will be released on November 5 in the LoL client,” says Pussy Riot. It's interesting that the developer scheduled the launch for a Tuesday rather than the traditional Wednesday, but we're not complaining. The bulk of the item pickup should be on TFTP next week.
What is included in Rise of the Elements?
Riot has promised new classes, champions and items for TFT. We can also expect more cosmetics - including Little Legends and Arena skins. There is no doubt that Riot will happily make you compete for more awards like these as long as you are interested in the game.
The set also comes with a larger board with four rows instead of three.
Will the ranking ladder be reset?
Yes! Riot says those who played during the beta will be rewarded, but didn't explain how or when. We'll have to find out when Set 2 is closer to release. Make sure you stay tuned!
What's in the TFT 2 set?
Right now we only have preliminary data, so unfortunately we can't tell you anything about how these new sources are performing. We also can't speculate about what kind of synergy we can expect from any of the new classes. We will update this article with new information as soon as it becomes available, so be sure to check the post again!
However, we do have some data on what new champions to expect and what some of the classes and backgrounds are called! Riot showed them in the video, explaining that the developers will continue to pull characters from League of Legends history as the game develops. Uh… mode. Riot still refers to TFT as a mode.
