NVIDIA DLSS technology in Red Dead Redemption 2 will improve the game
Rockstar Games' classic wild west game, Red Dead Redemption, has become a staple for gamers everywhere, and it's about to get even better with NVIDIA DLSS.
After the monumental success of the original, the sequel that came out in 2018, and the online mode in 2019, Rockstar's cowboy game has taken its place in the gaming hall of fame.
As the developers continue to add exciting new content to the online version of the game in the form of Red Dead Online: Blood Money, they're also adding a pretty cool new update to the game's graphic quality.
It's in NVIDIA DLSS form, so here's everything you need to know about the system and when it's coming to both Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online.
What is NVIDIA DLSS?
For those who don't know, NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) described as "a groundbreaking AI rendering technology that enhances graphics performance with dedicated Tensor Core AI processors on GeForce RTX GPUs."
Essentially, the technology scales lower resolutions to look like higher resolutions, which means you can maintain high FPS without losing sharpness.
In an effort to "boost frame rates and create beautiful, crisp images for your games", the stunning views of the Wild West in 1899 will look even more realistic. With the addition of DLSS, Red Dead will be an amazing journey into a real history book.
Other games equipped with this technology include Call of Duty: War zone , which uses fast and sharp FPS. Many games that use RTX technology support DLSS as it avoids RTX killing FPS for its own reasons.

Who can use NVIDIA DLSS?
To take advantage of this exciting new update, you'll need an NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card.
This applies to those using the company's 2000 and 3000 series GPUs. It is important to note that this feature not available to those who own 1000 series as well as console players, as they use their own processors.
When is NVIDIA DLSS coming to Red Dead?
If you're excited to give your Red Dead journey a fresh dab of paint, then thankfully you won't have to wait long.
As part of updating from 13 On July, eligible players will automatically receive the DLSS update.
In most games with DLSS available, you will be able to turn it on or off, as well as choose how hard you want it applied. Usually the settings change from "Performance" to "Balanced" and "Quality". Performance will lead to the highest possible FPS, and quality will lead to the highest image quality.
