Tfue Robbed in Miami After Fortnite x NFL Streamer Bowl Event
Fortnite star Turner 'Tfue' Tenney announced that he was the victim of a heist following a $500 Fortnite x NFL Streamer Bowl charity event involving a former member of the FaZe clan.
Had was in Miami, Florida this week to take part in the all-star Twitch Rivals charity tournament, which features the world's biggest Fortnite content creators and pro football players ahead of Super Bowl LIV.
In the early hours of January 31, about seven hours after the end of the competition, he tweeted that he had been robbed, although he did not mention any further details about the incident.
A lot of support and concern came from all over the Fortnite community in response to the tweet, and it wasn't until nearly eight hours later that Tfue finally unveiled another update.
He revealed that the criminals stole his "Royal Oak AP Arabic Dial" watch, which he introduced in his Instagram post.
While it is not known exactly how much a Tfue watch is worth, a similar diamond-studded Audemars Piguet Mens Royal Oak 41MM Steel VS Arabic Dial watch typically fetches tens of thousands of dollars, even as much as $40 for 000 Ct on the Chrono33 watch website. ,
Shortly after this Instagram post, the Fortnite superstar provided another update on Twitter, this time telling everyone that he was fine and that the only damage was the loss of his watch.
"By the way, I'm fine," he tweeted. "Guys got away with my AP though."
No other details about this incident are known at this time, and it's unclear if Tfue will even provide more information, as it's safe to assume there will be a police investigation into the robbery.
The incident came shortly after Tfue and his partner, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, finished second at the Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl on January 30, winning $80 for charity.
The Twitch star was named tournament MVP for his stellar performances throughout the competition, which helped the duo earn 16 eliminations and an average placement of 7,25.
