The Last of Us Part 2 PS4 Exclusive Release Date
Fans of The Last of Us may not have to wait long for the second installment of the PlayStation-exclusive franchise, as Sony has revealed more details on the upcoming release date.
The popular single-player zombie game that was first released in June 2013 has attracted a huge fan base around the world, and they can't wait to see what happens next with protagonists Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us 2. However, there is a fog of uncertainty around the project's release date as some people believe that gamers will have to wait until next-gen consoles play them, but some keen-eyed fans have noticed changes to the PlayStation store that could be really revealing.
When released "The Last of Us Part 2", part 2?
The Last of Us 2 has been moved to the "coming soon" section of the console's online store, which could mean the game could finally arrive sometime in 2019.
This timeline matched perfectly with previously leaked information that claimed the game would release in October 2019. Since Sony moved the game to the "coming soon" section, it's possible we'll see it before the end of the year.
What other PlayStation games are coming soon?
With that said, The Last of Us 2 isn't the only game featured in the Coming Soon section. Interestingly, the list includes Day's Gone, Mortal Kombat 11, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and more due to release between April and June.
Whether this is a major hint that The Last of Us fans won't have to wait any longer remains to be seen, but we'll be keeping an eye on new information released by Sony and the game's developer for more updates.
Sony has already confirmed that it will not present a press conference at E3 in June.
However, their new web show - State of Play - could be where they reveal the date we can expect to finally get our hands on The Last of Us 2. We'll have to wait and see.
