Update Fortnite 21.40 is now available on the servers and it introduced a brand new game mechanic called Versus Boards. Available throughout the island in various locations, these boards allow you to engage in direct combat with a random opponent, where both of your locations are revealed to each other.
The one who manages to shoot down the enemy first will declare victory in the Versus Board and receive a reward for their efforts. While this feature can help you claim some much-needed experience, it comes with the risk of exposing your location to an adversary.

How to join a duel in different matches in Fortnite
Versus Board have now replaced the standard order boards all over the island so the best way to find Versus Board - go to one of the famous places where you previously interacted with the board.
Once you've found one of the boards, all you have to do is interact with it to start the quest. Upon activating the Versus Board, you will be presented with a five-minute timer during which you must hunt down your enemy and defeat them in order to receive an XP boost.
