TSM will make a long-awaited return to CS:GO in 2023

TSM have announced that they will be returning to CS:GO in 2023, more than five years after their retirement from esports. And this time they are creating a completely new line-up from scratch in Europe.

TSM didn't have a long stint in CSGO, but there's a lot to remember here. From 2015 until the beginning of 2017, great CSGO players and future Valorant superstars played for their organization.

Finn "Carrigan" Andersen and Russell "Twistzz" Van Dulken started out with TSM years before they came together and took home the FaZe Major and became one of the best teams in CSGO. The Danish leader in the game was also part of the roster that would later form Astralis, the most successful team in CS:GO history, with four Major titles to their credit.

Now TSM is back with a major focus on cultivating new talent directly from Europe.

TSM is building a new roster from the ground up

Dominik Callas, Vice President of Esports at TSM, has announced that the organization will be making a comeback. But not in the way some fans might expect.

An organization with the presence and history that TSM has is expected to come along and start recruiting some of the best CSGO players. But Callas has a different approach.

He makes it clear in the announcement that their approach will not be to "go out and buy the top XNUMX players" upon their return to CSGO. Instead, Kallas will be spending "a significant amount of time in Europe" working with a local general manager, who has yet to be announced, to build the team and the right infrastructure.

“We have already started discussions with ESL and BLAST about how TSM can be successful in Europe through long-term partnerships,” he said. “We have a lot of work to do, a lot of infrastructure to build.”

As a result of their grassroots approach, there is no approved list yet. All we know so far is that TSM will be returning to CSGO in 2023 and that they are looking to compete in the biggest tournaments CSGO has to offer.
