Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Beta Date Leaked on PlayStation and PC
According to a report by RalphValve (who is one of the most famous insiders) on WhatIfGaming, the beta Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 should be released in September of this year - before the release date of October 28, 2022.
Back in May 2022, RalphValve set August as the beta test date; however, this appears to have been delayed by a month. According to his latest report, August is scheduled for multiplayer reveals, events and information.
It will also offer an exclusive look at gameplay from Modern Warfare 2's more traditional game modes, new game systems, and a few other surprises.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Battle.net and Steam on October 28, 2022.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Exclusive Beta and Open Beta for PlayStation Scheduled for September
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the 19th main game of the iconic military FPS. Doing a covert spy job set in the early 80s with Cold War Black Ops and returning to World War II with Vanguard, Call of Duty is back in the modern age again with the sequel to one of the best games in the series.
Modern Warfare 2 will return and re-introduce fan-favorite characters such as Captain Price, Soap McTavish и Ghost for the 2019 Modern Warfare sequel.
According to a report by RalphValve, the beta dates for Modern Warfare 2 are as follows:
Weekend 1 (Playstation Exclusive)
- Early access: 15 – 16 September
- Open beta testing: 17 – 19 September
Weekend 2 (Cross Play Beta)
- Early access: 22 – 23 September
- Open beta testing: 24 – 26 September
The latest Call of Duty games are known to be the first to release beta on PlayStation consoles, and there are no exceptions for Modern Warfare 2. As previously announced by Activision, the beta will be in two parts: early access for players who pre-ordered the game, and open beta for everyone.
The first weekend will be reserved for players on PlayStation platforms, including PS4 and PS5, while the second weekend will be open to players on all platforms - PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.
For the first time since World War II 2017, Call of Duty is back on Steam with Modern Warfare 2, and as such, beta access is expected to be available on Steam, along with Activision Blizzard's own Battle.net.
All in all, the next main installment in the iconic military first-person shooter franchise has generated huge buzz and is shaping up to be a terrific addition not only to the Modern Warfare series, but to the Call of Duty franchise as a whole.
