Fortnite leak hints at crossover with Dead by Daylight
Fortnite may be expanding its metaverse with the addition of characters from another popular multiplayer franchise as rumors claim battle royale will overlap with Dead by Daylight.
Epic Games has turned Fortnite into a collaborative machine without leaving any form of content intact. From mainstream streamers to movie stars to pop stars, battle royale has expanded its makeup arsenal to attract a huge following.
Fortnite is even teaming up with other video games. It all started with Master Chief and Kratos, and the most recent was Among Us. This has left fans speculating which video game might cross paths with Fortnite in the near future.
Luckily, a well-known insider is claiming that the asymmetric multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight could wed itself into a battle royale.
Fortnite x Dead by Daylight rumors
According to a famous Fortnite dataminer Shiina, an anonymous source provided an image claiming a Dead by Daylight collaboration is coming soon. This crossover will include cosmetics for both games.
Rumor claims that players can earn the llama spell in Dead by Daylight, which depicts a Fortnite loot llama and can be attached to various items used by assassins and survivors.
In Fortnite, players can get the Meg Thomas skin. Thomas is an original character from Dead by Daylight, and her cosmetic set will most likely include a pickaxe and a back bling.
Epic Games has yet to officially announce this crossover, but interactions with Dead by Daylight on Twitter further convinced the players that it would happen. In October 2021, Epic and DBD shared a Twitter exchange where Epic invited a Fortnite horror game.
While it could have been a cheeky exchange among social media managers, Fortnite has been known to tease events ahead of time using Twitter replies.
