Fortnite Leak Reveals Season 3 Map And No Water Locations
A brand new Fortnite leak has revealed several map changes coming later down the line in Chapter 2 Season 3 - with some metrics showing how the map will look when the water drops to its lowest point.
After a lot of rumors and speculation, Fortnite fans entered Chapter 2 Season 3 to find the Wavebreakers water theme and water-filled map. The water teased at the Unit During the Day event swallowed up some fan-favorite spots and quickly rocked the meta.
Although it has been revealed in the new season that Epic Games will be adding real cars to Fortnite. Since cars don't drive well on water, the battle royale island will need a bit more solid ground to make this a reality.
According to multiple leaks, the water that has covered the island will recede as the season continues to unfold. At some point, everything will return to normal, and there will be land, not water.
Reliable insider Lucas7 Yoshi discovered what the map would look like when the water reached its lowest point. Of course, there will still be plenty of water to swim, fish and use in some way - but the map will be more like the previous one.

As far as what new points of interest will emerge, it looks like the biggest change will be in the northwest corner of the map.
According to Forttory , this location was given the name "Ruins" in the game files. There are references to monuments and temples, but the only real look at it we've got today is just the mass of land it'll take up.
There is an encrypted POI named ''POI_TheRuins_Falls''. After being able to remove the water level this place pops out. I searched around the island and this is the only place I could think of where it can be located eventually. pic.twitter.com/oAjqKCml7W

At the time of writing, there is no confirmation as to when these changes will arrive. Epic can always change things too, making late changes to what's already in the files.
We'll just have to wait and see what they decide to do when it's time to shake the card.
