Fortnite Leak Reveals Grenade Launcher and Minigun Hybrid Weapon

A fresh leak from Fortnite has revealed that an insane grenade launcher/minigun hybrid is in the works and could land in a battle royale.
Fortnite is no stranger to wacky or overpowered weapons in the loot pool. Players are still trying to forget about the Infinity Sword, hoping that something like the Zapatron will return with a nerf.
These kinds of wacky inventions have disappeared in recent seasons, replaced by standard but powerful shotguns, assault rifles, and even pistols.
However, when it comes to bringing things back to outlandish levels of design and power, Epic Games might have something up its sleeve that could make battle royale players crave storage.
on September 28 Fortnite insider @ Mang0e_ reported that a new type of heavy weapon is in development, which apparently looks like a crossover between a grenade launcher and a minigun.
That's right, a crossover between a grenade launcher and a mini-gun. How, you ask? Well, in the photos posted by the host, the prototype reticle shows a mini gun without a barrel and stats showing it will cause massive environmental damage.
According to the prototype's current stats, it deals 137 environmental damage and 67 normal damage, so it's powerful anyway.

It may be a cross between a Grenade Launcher and a Minigun. A prototype mesh is included, which appears to be a minigun without its barrel.

Of course, given that this is just a prototype mesh, it could very well be that Epic will run some tests with no plans to release weapons in the future.
As we've seen so many times, content - be it weapons, skins, new locations, or whatever - is regularly discovered by data miners, but never comes to light in a battle royale. So we just have to wait and see what happens to this in the future.
