Fortnite leak reveals the re-destruction of the Abandoned Towers
The long-awaited return of the Forlorn Towers in Chapter 3 of Fortnite has been welcomed with open arms by the community, but a new leak has suggested that the iconic landing site won't be around for long.
3 chapter Fortnite has added a huge amount of new content to the world-conquering battle royale. The Battle Pass brought Marvel's Spider-Man into the mix, while the new Tornadoes added an extra layer of danger to the map.
However, it was the return of the classic Tilted Towers location that particularly excited fans. The Chaotic Drop Zone became a fan favorite when it was added back in Season 2 before it was drastically destroyed by a volcano in Season 8.
Chapter 1 season 3 marked the first time players set foot on the original Tilted Towers in roughly three years, but an earthquake could end its return, according to a leak.
As Chapter 2 Season 3 approaches, quakes have begun hitting the flipped Fortnite map, likely in preparation for the end-of-season spectacle that Epic has planned. But as the leak pointed out, the location of some earthquakes poses a danger to the top location.
In a photo posted by a user Reddit Koooooomar, an earthquake path seems to surround this place. Starting from the Hidden Cave northwest of the Tilylts, shaking has formed a box around the city and is currently occurring in the northeast.
The post has begun fueling theories that the Towers will be destroyed once again in an upcoming event, much like it was in Season 8.
Since their return in Chapter 3, the Abandoned Towers have once again established themselves as one of the most popular landing spots in the game. As you can imagine, the prospect of them falling back into ruins has sparked a backlash in the community.
“NOT AGAIN DAMN DAMN,” Jaxblueblade said. "Why are Tilted Towers, are they kidding me?" replied SomeGamingWeeb20.
Others seemed relieved to hear that Tilted could go again.
As always with these kinds of leaks, take this information with a pinch of salt until you see it for yourself in the game. But if this theory turns out to be correct, we could be in for a huge event to close Season 1 of Chapter 3 of Fortnite.
