Fortnite leaks claim that iconic hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan will soon make their debut as a cosmetic in the popular Battle Royale.
Epic Games has built a fairly close relationship with hip-hop over the years; The popular battle royale has never shied away from giving culture its due love.
This has been implemented in memorable dances as emotes as well as rap star skins such as Travis Scott and even him virtual concert.
But just when you think Fortnite has reached its limits in collaboration with hip-hop, Epic Games goes even further. On April 20, 2022, leaks pointed to another rap-oriented collaboration on the horizon, and it could be iconic.
Wu-Tang Clan skins coming soon to Fortnite
ChinaBR, a trusted source of Fortnite leaks and mining, tweeted that Battle Royale would soon be releasing skins based on "a very influential hip-hop group...bringing a style revolution to Fortnite."
Appearing as a female and male variant, hip hop skins were first seen in the data, where the code lines for the skins were listed as "CID_A_387_Athena_Commando_M_Lyrical" and "CID_A_388_Athena_Commando_F_Lyrical".
Then, as intrigue arose in the Fortnite community, another credible Fortnite source, Fercho_UwU, said they saw images for the skins but weren't able to share them.
However, Fercho has confirmed that the skins will be based on the legendary hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan.
When will the Wu-Tang Clan crossover from Fortnite happen?
Fercho_UwU continued his stream of leaks as he revealed via tweet iFireMonkeythat the skins will arrive 23 April 2022 of the year.
According to the source, one of the skins has a back bling (Back Bling) that reacts to music, one skin with a hat-based style, and a pickaxe stylized with animation.
While we don't have images of what the two skins might look like, iFireMonkey did mention that the Wu-Tang Clan skins could be "decoded tomorrow for content creators to showcase."
With all this excitement, players will only have to wait and see!
