GTA 6 Map Coordinates Leak Reveals Huge Size of Vice City
The GTA 6 hack could be the wildest video game leak of all time as Rockstar tries to bounce back after footage of the game was leaked. Users can now see map coordinates which they can piece together to see the scale of the Vice City map.
The gaming world was rocked this past Sunday after 90 videos showing GTA 6 in action leaked online, confirming reports of a female protagonist, Vice City and more.
When Rockstar attempted to take the video offline and the FBI launched an investigation, users began taking notes on areas seen in footage, cross-referencing past games, and using coordinates in leaked videos to help recreate Vice City.
Similar efforts have worked wonders in the past. How reports Kotaku, users did the same for GTA V before the game was released and created a map almost identical to the real one. It's still early, but users have pieced together what they think Vice City will look like, and it's crazy.
Users create a map of Vice City in GTA 6 with found coordinates
Using the coordinates in the video to pinpoint the location, as well as Rockstar's own measurements to compare the scale to Los Santos, they feel it can give a rough idea of what the finished product could be.
Next map created by user "Church of GTA”, shows that most of the world is an urban environment, potentially more than in GTA V.
On the top left, users can look out for Port Gellhorn, which appears to be a smaller city in addition to Vice City.
The size of the Vice City map becomes even more impressive when you consider how prominent a Tez2 insider has suggested that GTA 6 will add new cities over time with single-player DLC - which GTA 5 unfortunately lacks.
Keep in mind, however, that the map may and may have changed dramatically from what was leaked the other day, so it could be very different at release.
Either way, once Rockstar finally shares some official GTA 6 details, expect the map experts to get back to work and piece together more of this modern take on Vice City.
