CoD Leaks Claim Alcatraz Blackout Map Is Coming To Warzone
The Alcatraz mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been one of the most popular additions to the Blackout battle royale, and now leaks have revealed that the prison map could also be coming to Warzone.
Based on the game files, several notables claim that elements of the Black Ops 4 Alcatraz map were added to Warzone. These elements include the location names that became popular on the second Blackout map.
While adding these resources to the game files doesn't mean a new Alcatraz mode is coming right now, it does line up with earlier rumors and suggests the map will join the game, possibly in Season 6.
Okay, just heard a new rumor that Alcatraz is apparently in the Warzone files...

Alcatraz landmarks such as the Cell House and Parade Grounds have been added, data source Nanikos revealed. Interestingly, the well-known leaker "TheGamingRevolution" confirms that these files were "recently added", so they are unlikely to be left behind after Blackout and, instead, signify the return of the card.
In Blackout, the Alcatraz Portal Quads mode featured only 10 squads of four players and featured round-based re-deployment and weapon purchases, which became popular in CoD Zombies modes.
It was essentially a combination of BR and Zombies, allowing players to respawn a certain number of times, but also constantly exposing them to the threat of attacks not only from enemies, but also from the living dead.
Back in June there were rumors that Blackout would return "in some form" in 2020, so it's possible that this was referring to the return of Alcatraz as an expansion to Warzone.
At the end of August another leak suggested that a new mode called "Zombie Royale" will be coming to Warzone in Season 6 or later. At the time, a leaked description read: “Be the last team with a live person to win. Players turn into zombies upon death, but can become human again by devouring the hearts of fallen players.”
While it doesn't quite look like Alcatraz's traditional Portal Quads format, for such an extremely unique type of game to be added to Warzone, it wouldn't be surprising at all if the Call of Duty developers joined forces to roll out a return map. for the game Zombie Royale.
For a mode that's rumored to depend on infecting other players, it would make a lot of sense to want a smaller map so that teams can't just hide all the time to stay human. If so, then these leaks start to match up perfectly, since Alcatraz is a much more limited place than Verdansk.
Of course, all this information is based on leaks, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. However, given the rumors and speculation about this over the past few months, don't be surprised if things eventually come to fruition.
