Fortnite Leaks Hint At Atlantis POI Coming In Season 3
Fortnite insiders have discovered new game files that hint at a very interesting object - Atlantis, possibly introduced as part of the upcoming season 3 map changes.
Fortnite Season 2 Chapter XNUMX brought a lot of changes to the popular battle royale, including a newly flooded map that completely rocked the gameplay experience.
The Season 3 trailer also revealed that Aquaman would be joining the fray as the latest superhero character added to Fortnite, requiring fans to complete a set. trials to unlock a new skin.
It looks like Epic Games has even more cooking up for the new character, however new clues point to Aquaman's underwater home, Atlantis, added to Fortnite in Season 3.
data miner Forttory showed that the mythological city could be included in some of the next map changes after the disclosure of several files referring to Atlantis after the last patch.
One of the files found lists sound files for Fortnite's new 'Atlantis biome', and FortTory added that this could be a clue that Aquaman will have its own POI, similar to Deadpool's yacht in Season 2.
With the speculation that water levels will drop over the course of the new Fortnite season, FortTory has discovered that a cryptic attraction currently called "The Ruins" is likely to appear on the map.
The Fortnite leaker later shared the names for each of the areas included in this new attraction, such as the temple and surrounding monuments, suggesting that Atlantis would be fairly sizable if added to the game.
However, despite a lot of speculation about this mysterious location, Epic Games has yet to confirm any upcoming map changes hinting at the addition of Atlantis.
It's worth noting that, as with any leaks, Fortnite developers are free to tweak or remove any of these game files entirely, meaning fans will just have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks.
