FIFA 22 on PC Has Another Big Issue Players Should Be Aware of

While FIFA 22 promises plenty of changes to fan-favorite modes like Career Mode and Ultimate Team, there's one issue players should be aware of if they're planning to buy it on PC.

Another year of football brings gamers around the world closer to release FIFA 22, which hits shelves October 1, 2021, and players can't wait to see what EA is going to deliver with this year's iteration.

Ahead of the game's release, EA announced that players will be able to purchase two game options - Ultimate Edition and Standard Edition. During the trailer and on the EA website, it was announced that much of the new technology hypermotion Next-Gen will not be available on the PC platform, which is already a big blow.

However, there is another glaring problem that some players have noticed when pre-order PC games.

Can only be played on one PC

Although pre-orders for the game are now open, some social media users have found an issue when purchasing the game on PC.

Basically, you will only be able to play FIFA 22 on the PC you originally purchased/activated the game on.

So, if you switch PC or need to log in on a different PC, you won't be able to access FIFA 22 because it's tied to the PC you purchased it on. At first glance, this certainly seems like a major oversight, as not many other games have the same rules as this one.

As a result, a warning message about the problem appears on Steam.

FIFA 21 didn't display this warning when players were about to pre-order the game, so this appears to be a new decision by EA regarding the release of FIFA 22.

We'll have to wait and see if this change sticks around until the release of FIFA 22 this fall, as it will surely make some fans hesitant to buy the game on PC.
