Cloud Imperium Games kicked off Star Citizen's Invictus Launch Week, which is an 11-day "Free Fly" event.

The event starts today and runs until June 1st and offers new players the chance to explore Star Citizen at no extra charge.

The Free Fly event also gives you the opportunity to take advantage of test aircraft, and most of them will be available for test flights for free. Various manufacturers take over every other day, so keep checking back.

All ships available for Free Fly will also be available in the Pledge Shop during the event on their designated manufacturer days. A selection of ships that will not be part of Free Fly will also be in the pledge shop.

To play the game for free, you need register here .

If you're already playing the game, during this time you can watch UEE Navy demonstrations, visit the in-game exhibition center, and acquire rare ships.

See the infographic above for find out what to expect during Invictus Launch Week . You can also find out more about the event at the link.
