Valorant - patch 4.01 changelog
In the settings of Valorant appeared a list of forbidden words.
- The list of forbidden words is a new section in the settings. There you can enter certain words and phrases that will not be displayed in the game chat.
- Some players can easily fool the automatic detection of inappropriate words and are constantly inventing new and sophisticated ways to write something rude in chat.
- Example: Let's say Riot is a bad word. If it is written that way, then the detection system will fix it and hide it. But the system is very easy to bypass if you write the same word in a different way, such as R!ot, R!0t, Ri0t, and so on.
- With lists that players will create, Riot hopes to make the chat less toxic. To do this, developers will compare lists of players from each region and improve the system for detecting inappropriate words based on the data collected. Weapon Changes
ARES
After patch 4.0, Ares became noticeably more powerful, so players buy it more often. However, it became too easy to shoot from this machine gun, and the lack of promotion deprived it of its uniqueness. After increasing the rate of fire, this weapon is now much more pleasant to use, so the developers will not edit anything here. However, the changes below will make the Ares a bit harder to shoot, and the reduction in accuracy will bring back some of the weapon's signature features.
- Cost increased from 1550 to 1600
- Increased vertical recoil
- Bullet dispersion now changes from 0,8 to 0,7 after 10 bullets, but from 1,0 to 0,7 after 13 bullets
- Decreased crouch spread and recoil bonus from 40% to 25%
Steel arms
It was very difficult to hit the target with melee weapons, so it was usually not necessary to count on it in battle. Riot reworked left and right melee attacks to improve their effectiveness in skirmishes between agents.
- Hitbox when attacking with the right mouse button has become 1,5 times larger. Left click attacks have increased hitbox and range compared to right click attacks.
- First of all, melee attacks will hit targets that are closer to the center of impact, so you don’t have to worry about accuracy.
- Additional: Wall impact marks now appear instantly (they are pre-calculated on the client side)

- Fixed an issue that caused the spectator hotkeys to change after switching sides

- Fixed an issue where performance graphs that require NVIDIA Reflex technology could not be hidden
