Is Vandal good at Valorant? Damage stats, tactics, how to use Vandal.
Vandal is one of the most versatile, but how do you become a rifle master? Let's break down everything you need to know about weapons.
Valorant has weapons from different classifications, supporting many playstyles. With 17 different guns to choose from in six different categories.
Then there is a discussion about which weapon to buy for 2900 credits: Phantom or Vandal? will become a little clearer after reading.
In this guide, we'll break down the Vandal - arguably Valorant's deadliest weapon - and give you all the information you need to wreak havoc on the battlefield.
What is Vandal?
Vandal is one of the four rifles in Valorant. Since this is the most expensive rifle, you will need to reserve enough credits to make this piece of equipment for your agent.
Is the Vandal a good weapon in Valorant?
Unlike some of the other weapons in the game, the Vandal is not affected by range. This means that if you shoot someone at close range or from a longer distance, you will deal the same amount of damage.
One bullet to your opponent's head (156 damage) is enough to kill a Vandal no matter what level of armor he is wearing. This makes Vandal very effective.
Vandal damage stats
- Store capacity : 25
- wall penetration : the average
- Rate of fire: 9,75 shots / sec.
Location | Damage at 0-50m |
Head | 160 |
Torso | 40 |
Legs | 34 |
Spray form
Vandal has one of the most erratic sprays in the game. After the first two bullets, the barrel of the weapon is immediately thrown up. After the fifth bullet, the barrel begins to move sideways - this is where it becomes especially difficult to control.
After a certain threshold (about nine bullets) Vandal hits left and then right. Note the smaller target on the left side, which provides a trace of the weapon's full recoil.
To compensate, the pro tip here is to watch the barrel sway with the corner of your eye and move your mouse in the opposite direction to keep your bullets locked onto your target.
When to buy Vandal
Vandal stands 2900 credits and is the perfect weapon for a standard buying round. If you have credits, its versatility at both short and medium ranges will allow you to cover all areas of the map with ease.
If your team is tight on cash but you force-buy against your opponents, Vandal is not for you. Considering its relative cost compared to other weapons, the risk of giving your players one of the best weapons in the game far outweighs the potential reward of doing some damage (or taking a round at best) - leave that to the pros!
Shooting Tips:
Short bursts are where Vandal is most effective, so keep your distance and try to keep a clear crosshair position (anticipating where the enemy's head will be) as you move around the map.
One thing to keep in mind here, if you prefer to waddle through the rounds and get behind enemy lines, the Vandal is definitely not for you - silenced weapons like the Phantom will suit you better.
That's all you need to know about Vandal in Valorant! Practice shooting on the training map and dominate the Tomorrowland!
