There are a number of unreleased characters in Genshin Impact, however, one of which continues to be a mystery is Varka. As well as Colley и dainsleif, miHoYo shone Varka numerous in-game links and references in interactions between characters.
Varka is the current Chapter Master and Knight of the Boreas of the Ordo Favonius. About half a year before the Traveler's arrival in Mondstadt, he went on an expedition with a significant part of the knights of the order, leaving Jinn as the Acting Master. This makes him a particularly important character in Mondstadt, but details surrounding the powerful warrior remain sparse.

Who is Varka in Genshin Impact?
Varka is the current Grand Master of the Knights of the Ordo Favonius of Mondstadt. However, Varka has since left all his duties to Genie, the game's 5-star anemo character. Prior to the advent of the Traveler, Varka led an expedition outside of Mondstadt with several divisions of the Favonius Knights.
Exactly who or what he's tracking remains to be seen, but Varka has yet to appear in the game's story or side quests. Despite this, a number of characters mention that Varka is both a tall and incredibly strong figure, suggesting that the Grand Master is a skilled fighter.
Is there a release date for Varka in Genshin Impact?
Unfortunately, miHoYo has yet to give an official release date for Varka in Genshin Impact. This means that it could arrive anytime after the 2.5 and 2.6 updates, which will add Yae Miko and a number banner repeats in Game.
Varka's weapon type and abilities
While miHoYo has yet to reveal Varka's abilities and weapon type, he is known to have taught Razor how to use a claymore. This of course doesn't confirm Varka as a two-handed sword user, but it would make sense, especially given his status as one of the most powerful people in Mondstadt.
Tartaglia famously referred to Varca as "the titan of the Knights of Favonius" and seeks to test his skills in combat. The Grand Master's connection to Boreas, the game's Cryowolf boss, may also indicate that Varka wields Cryo or Anemo Vision.
