Video Combines All Jason Murders From The First 8 Friday The 13th Movies
A new video from Paramount Pictures shows every single person Jason Voorhees killed in the first eight Friday the 13th movies made between 1980-1989.
In the new montage "Friday the 13th" features all of Jason Voorhees' murders from the first eight films. Halloween John Carpenter can be called the beginning of the slasher genre, but «A Nightmare on Elm Street»и «Friday the 13th» were two of the most successful horror franchises of the 80s. A total of eight films «Friday 13-e» were released between 1980 and 1989 before Paramount Pictures sold the rights to the New Line Cinema franchise.
Friday the 13th turned Jason Voorhees into a pop culture icon, and the franchise is known for its high murder rate and gratuitous violence. Pamela Voorhees was responsible for the killings on the first Friday the 13th, but the filmmakers stepped up the horror in future sequels once Jason became the main character. Many sequels have followed the same basic premise, but the franchise has become incredibly popular in part because of how difficult the deaths are. Some of the most notorious murders from the first eight films include the sleeping bag murder from Part VII: New Blood and the death of Kevin Bacon in the original Friday the 13th, but this is just the tip of the iceberg.
New video released Paramount Pictures, features every Jason murder in the first eight films to celebrate a single Friday the 13th 2021. The montage takes a humorous approach to the franchise, alternating murders with music that is the exact opposite of what is featured in the series. All 116 kills of Jason Voorhees, as well as the bonus round showing that Jason is killed, can be seen below:
In addition to celebrating Friday the 13th this year, Paramount has also released a video to promote their new Friday the 13th box set of the first eight films. This has caused some controversy online as fans just want a new addition to the franchise instead of multiple releases of the same films. Shout Factory released a complete collection with all twelve films Friday the 13th last year, which was hailed by many as the definitive Blu-ray collection. For this reason, it came as a bit of a surprise when an 8-movie collection, a steelbook 8-movie collection, and a solo Blu-ray release of the original were announced this year. Friday the 13th.
The above video and these Blu-ray collections do not include Jason Goes to Hell Jason X, Freddy vs. Jason or restart Friday the 13th because that Paramount does not own the rights to these films. Movie rights "Friday the 13th" a little messy right now, but Jason Voorhees always gets into the spotlight every time the 13th of the month falls on a Friday. Even if the franchise rights "Friday the 13th" straightened out, it's clear how popular Jason Voorhees is to this day.
