League of Legends is getting a new abyssal jungler in season 12, joining the likes of Kha'Zix and Rek'Sai. Here's everything we know about the 160 champion, including his abilities and release date.

Riot kicked off League of Legends Season 12 with a bang, featuring four different champions to kick off mega 2022. Zeri is already in the game, and there are three more champions to come, including the new jungler from the abyss, who was first talked about back in 2021.

Here's what we know about the 160 League of Legends champions, including abilities and when the next jungler will enter the Summoner's Rift.

Who is the upcoming abyss jungler in League of Legends?

The upcoming League of Legends jungler was first announced on the September 2021 champions roadmap as "an overwhelming new jungler that should fill the Void in all of your hearts."

This then found a continuation during the January 12 Season 2022 broadcast, when lead champion producer Ryan "Reav3" Mireles brought up the topic of the upcoming character.

While it doesn't really give a huge clue as to who the creature from the abyss is, one thing is for sure: it's going to be pretty powerful.

New jungler abilities and gameplay

At this time, Riot hasn't revealed what to expect from the new abyssal jungler in terms of abilities and gameplay. However, given how he mastered Reav3 and the scenario he recounted, the champion would likely have terrifying skills.

Reav3 described him as a champion "who gains momentum to swarm the Rift", which could mean a swarm of creatures under his command, or some kind of spreading mist that can thwart enemies that try to stalk him.

However, since the new jungler kit is still in development, Riot can't give any concrete information about him - and it's still too early for anyone to have any major leaks to make a real firm stand on the 150 champion.

League of Legends already has two abyssal junglers: Rek'Sai (pictured) and Kha'Zix.

Riot has confirmed that a new jungler, or champion 160, will be released later in League of Legends season 12. With the launch of Zeri already jumping into the rift, and the upcoming support character from Zaun, the void jungler will be the third champion release in 2022.
