For years, Halo fans around the world have been waiting for the moment when the popular video game will be brought to Hollywood. Instead of a movie, FPS is getting its own series, and we finally got to see it.
While fans only got a brief clip, the hype is real as people everywhere are already squirming in their chairs, waiting for more information.

Finally, fans of Microsoft's iconic Halo series have something to cheer up after years of trying to create a series or movie from scratch. Showtime has come to an end and has made great strides.
Showtime's Halo series was first announced back in 2013 with Steven Spielberg as executive producer.
Production has since moved to Showtime and was in development for four years until June 28, 2018, when a 10-episode season was ordered.
It's been a while, but the series is finally getting ready for release in the near future.
When will the Halo series be released?
According to Showtime, the Halo series is set to debut in the "first quarter" of 2021. While this may seem rather vague, it still gives us a decent timeline.
The first quarter of the year starts on January 1st and runs until March 31st, so the series will launch within those first 90 days.
Showtime's big shows tend to debut on Sunday nights, so with that in mind, this further limits the days the show is likely to start from Sunday, January 3rd through Sunday, March 28th.

Cast
The Halo TV series, in particular, will feature Pablo Schreiber as the chief boss. The actor and the official account first saw the helmet he will be wearing in an Instagram post on November 10.
"You thought we were done? We are just getting started,” the caption read.
Elsewhere, Natasha McElhone will be the iconic AI Cortana, while acclaimed Hindi actress Shabana Azmi will play Admiral Margaret Parangosky.

What is the plot of the Halo series?
The series is set during a 26th century conflict between humans and alien species known as the Covenant.
Other than that, not much is known about the series at this point, although Showtime CEO David Nevins called it "the most ambitious series ever".
