All Fortnite Island Changes in Season 3 Chapter 2
Fortnite season 3 saw a lot of changes to the map, a few new named locations added, and many went underwater. Here are all the changes to the map that came in the v13.00 update.
With the launch of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, a lot of changes have been made to the map, adding four new named POIs (Points of Interest) as well as many locations that are no longer named on the map.
Looking at the map, we can see how much land has actually been flooded compared to the previous season, and now there are only 13 locations on the map that look like this:
- ♦Pleasant Park
- ♦Giant Cooling Towers
- ♦Careless Shore
- ♦Prickly Keys
- ♦Holly Fences
- ♦Administration
- ♦Fatal Farm
- ♦Trading Point
- ♦Lonely Lake
- ♦Floating Headquarters
- ♦Mountain Town
- ♦Secluded Corner
- ♦Water Tower
FLOATING HQ
The Floating Headquarters can be found to the southwest of the map, and the location was actually shown to us by Epic Games in the teasers released this season. It appears to be a floating city that has a heliport in the middle, and there is also a pirate ship in that location.
ADMINISTRATION
Administration has replaced the Agency from the old map and is essentially the same, however more like the Shadow faction has taken over. It looks like a wall has been built around the location, which will probably prevent water from surrounding the buildings.
SEVEN CORNER
The Nook is in the mountains, southeast of the Lonely Lake, and here you will find the Robocat boss. One of the tasks of the first week of challenges requires you to enter the vault at this location, and we have a detailed guide about how to do it here .
WATER RIG
The Oil Rig was blown up last season when it was taken over by the Shadow faction, and it looks like the Water Rig is now up there, but most of it is underwater.
There are other POIs that have been completely submerged, but you can still see the ruins below, and they will display the names of those places as you float above them. Places like Pleasant Park and Holly Fences are still named places on the map, but have changed due to flooding.
According to the leaks, the water will begin to slowly recede, revealing the ruins of some of the old POIs that are currently underwater. Last season there were not many map changes that were made from update to update, but it looks like we can expect changes this season and we will see the damage that was done by the old POI.
