All characters in Catalyst Black
Catalyst Black has been in early access since August 2020, but will soon have a full release with a small number of characters for now.
Players can now pre-register for Catalyst Black on their iOS and Android devices. By doing this, they will be notified when the game is launched, so they can choose their favorite character to storm the battlefield right away.
Catalyst Black will launch with a roster of five characters. The composition will undoubtedly expand sooner or later. However, for now, these five characters will form the basis of the game.
All five characters in Catalyst Black at launch
Catalyst Black is scheduled to arrive on May 25, 2022. This gives the players enough time to review the list of characters included in the game and decide which one can be the main one.
All of these five characters will come with a list of specific moves and their own personalities. Expect more as additional content after the game launches, but until then, here are all five characters:
1) Sander
Sander - Primitive man, full of aggression. His powers are Leap Slam, Breath of Rage and Primal Roar.
Leap Slam is a typical ground slam that damages nearby enemies, while Breath of Rage sends out a frontal beam of energy that deals damage. The Primal Roar lets out a mighty howl that sees this character grow stronger and faster.
Characters also come with a basic attack and Sunder is Slash. This attack uses his claws to strike his victims with intense fury, fueled by his Primal Aggression and the mask that summons him.
2) Issia
Issia is a character based on ice. Deep Freeze, Polar Vortex and Wing Sweep are the three powers she comes with. Her main attack is known as Glacial Torrent and unleashes a freezing shroud of ice that damages enemies.
When it comes to her more powerful attacks, Deep Freeze kicks things off by encasing Issia in ice. This deals damage to any nearby enemies. Meanwhile, Polar Vortex sends a blizzard to a specific location and deals AOE damage.
Wing Sweep is the ultimate power. This is an attack that sends a blast of cold wind ahead of her. Anyone caught in the path of the attack is hit by an icy wind and takes massive damage.
3) Knock
Nok is a primordial who appears in children's stories in Catalyst Black's story. His main attack is called Zoom!. This sees Nok lunging forward and hitting enemies with his incredible speed.
Faster!, Poof!, and watch this! - Three powers of Nok. They are all based on speed, with Faster! having two actions. It sets enemies on fire and increases Nok's overall speed.
Poof! is a teleportation maneuver. Nok travels to a designated location, which will injure any nearby enemies during the transport process. This is a good move to deal damage and avoid possible retaliation.
The final power, Watch This!, sends out a huge fireball area of effect at enemies. It explodes on impact and does a ton of damage to anyone caught in the blast area.
4) Thunder
Thorden is a Black Primal Catalyst who prides himself on his abilities as a protector. Smash is his main hit. He sends his giant hammer at nearby enemies, dealing massive damage.
His powers are the Thunderer, Reckoning, and Guardian. Thunderbolt is exactly what it sounds like. Lightning strikes an area, and anyone caught in that area is damaged.
Reckoning is a movement force that teleports Torden from one place to another with a blow from his hammer. Then comes the Guardian, the first defensive force. It protects nearby allies within a certain radius.
5) Jains
Janeks is the fifth and final character on the Catalyst Black roster at the moment. Janks' main attack is called Cruel Pierce. He has a spear that he throws forward, attacking anyone in front of him.
The Brutal Warrior also has the Savage Charge, Corral, and Dread abilities.
Savage Charge sees him collide with the enemy, dragging them wherever he moves on the battlefield. Corral also moves enemies, pulling them into the center of the AOE and injuring them when they are pulled. Lastly, Dread restores allies' health after draining it from enemies.
