After launching the new game, you will be introduced to the seemingly sad Kratos and the teenage Atreus. Once the opening cutscene ends, you gain control of the sled being ridden by the father and son duo. The sled moves forward automatically, so all you have to do is focus on steering left and right. You can use this feature to adjust any camera or sensitivity settings.

It won't take long before you get attacked. There are a couple of button prompts, but nothing too dangerous. When you gain control of the sled again, you will need to try to avoid the rocks on the way, as hitting them will do some damage to Kratos' health. A couple more clues will appear later, and you will be free of the threat. A second, shorter sled ride begins, complete with opening credits, and then you return home. This is the first time you take direct control of Kratos. Approach the house and get ready for new cut-scenes.

Once you regain control of the main character during the dream sequence, simply follow Faye through the forest. Now we are in the game. Your goal is to find Atreus and you now have full control over Kratos. You can smash a few nearby crates if you want before heading over to where your pet wolves are and squeezing through the gap next to them after you break the obstructive ice with your axe.

This is a linear area, so just follow the path, jumping over obstacles as you go. When you jump over the second log, local warriors will attack you. This is your first combat encounter, and the enemy soldiers pretty weak. Use this as an opportunity to get used to the controls of Kratos and try not to be surrounded by your enemies. Once you are victorious, head to the next part of the area by picking up a nearby log. There is a health stone here if you need it. Investigate the dead bear that is nearby and continue on your way. You can follow the trail of blood, but on the right side of the cave there is small treasure chest. When you come to the fallen tree, use your ax to chop it down and jump over to the other side of the gap.

Keep following the path and you will come across a body on the right and an item at its feet. Grab it and continue on your way. Another the chest is right in front, up and left. Once you open this, you can follow the path of blood again before crawling through a small cave. Even more warriors located on the other side of this cave. Once they've been defeated, you can find another frozen body to the right of the cave exit, which also has an item at its feet. Meanwhile, the trail of blood ends at a frozen wall. Climb to the left of the wall to find a way around it - and keep an eye out for enemies.

You will quickly reach a wall that you will need to climb up. When you get to the top, you will find a chest. Keep following the path here and you will come to another cave. There is also a small chest along this route. Squeeze inside the cave and you will find another group of enemies. There are several items scattered around this cave, so be sure to grab them after you're done with the fights.

Continue through the cave and you will come to another open area with a large number of viking raiders. There is a chest here, as well as a couple of items on the ground. Collect the loot and then head up. Watch out for the large ledge on the right as you start to climb. Jump over the gap to get to it. Climb another wall and you will soon see the exit from the cave.

Boss Fight: How to Defeat Bjorn the Bear in God of War: Ragnarok

As soon as you exit the cave, get ready because you will be immediately attacked by a giant bear named Bjorn. This is a fairly simple fight and serves more as a tutorial than a real combat encounter. Just dodge his pretty good telegraph attacks and hit when you get the chance. In the middle of the battle, you will be prompted to launch your rage counter, so press the L3 and R3 buttons at the same time and beat the big bear. If you need to replenish your health at any moment, you will find plenty of resources around the arena.

As soon as Bjorn's health deteriorates significantly, you will be given the opportunity to end him. This will eventually trigger a finishing attack that cuts to Atreus. Watch the story unfold and then use your ax to cut through the wooden log in front of you once you regain control.

Follow the path chatting with Atreus and Mimir. As you progress, you will eventually stumble upon Vikings. You can assign Atreus to help in combat with the button . Defeat enemies and then climb down the metal rope into the tunnel. Directly to your right is a red chest with silver и wrought iron inside.

Keep following the tunnel to the end and you'll come out into a familiar area where Atreus is investigating a blood trail on the ground. Head into the hole and a cutscene with the bears will start. Once it's over, cut through the tree blocking the path and you'll immediately be in an area with a group Vikingsambushed. Remember to kill those on high ground as quickly as possible, as they will be the biggest problem for you.

After the Vikings will be dismantled, follow Atreus home, through the crack in the wall that you used much earlier in the quest. Then follow the path up to the house and head inside where you can get ready for bed. Of course, your vacation is short-lived.

Familiar faces will appear at the door, bringing mead. Watch the cutscene unfold for big revelations and amazing moments.

Boss Fight: How to Defeat Thor in God of War: Ragnarok

It's time for the boss fight. You will be thrown into the arena against Torah, and you will not have an ax initially. Hit the Thunder God with everything you have, ensuring you dodge his swift grab attacks. Deal enough damage and you'll trigger a cutscene, causing Kratos to call his Leviathan ax. Keep fighting with Thorand eventually it will take you outside.

Many of the attacks Torah remain the same when you are outside, so be sure to keep dodging his grappling moves. You will notice that the scene is lined with large pillars that you can grab and use to deal some serious damage. Toru. From time to time, it will shake the ground, which will send a deadly tunnel of destruction in your direction, so be sure to roll away from the threat. Lower his health one more time for the third and final phase of this fight.

With all this stubborn struggle, it's nice to see a familiar face. Brok and Sindri have witnessed all of this and want to help you get back home so you can meet Atreus. Climb across the platforms and up the stairs. Eventually you will come to a doorway that you can walk through. On the other hand, Brok and Sindri will create a gateway for you to teleport you home.

Once back home, you'll meet up with Atreus, but you'll need to spend a few minutes equipping new gear and updating stats before setting off. Once outside, follow Atreus into the forest. You will need to use your Blades of Chaos to get over the ledge and shortly after that you'll find a pile of discarded corpses with Huxilver nearby. Eventually, you will run into some hindrances that you can ignite by aiming at them with L2 and igniting with R2.

A little further on you will come across a blockade that you can reset using Blades of Chaos. Then, once you're upstairs, Hel-Raider is right ahead. You will need to defeat this enemy using Blades of Chaos to set it on fire and then you can finish it off with Leviathan Ax, if you want to. Keep following Atreus. On the left is a branch that you can explore to get Silver at the bottom of a long ledge. Once you've collected it, climb back up and return to the main path with Atreus. In the end, you will come to a cave where you need to destroy the enemies.

Follow the path and go down the ledges. To the right is a ledge that you can drop down to with a chest underneath; there is inside chopped silver. You can then squeeze through the gap straight ahead. Beware because you will be ambushed inside.

As soon as you return to the street, lower the pillar that is blocking the path and jump over to the other side. Then climb back up the wall behind you and return the pillar to its previous position to create a path across.

Take a chain rope and use your Leviathanto throw at an object blocking the rope. Finally, you can pull the chain until the rope is taut and then climb down. Once you get into this area, you will have to deal with a lot of of enemiesso get ready take them on. There are obstacles blocking the way from here, so be sure to set fire to those who use Blades of Chaos. More on the other side undead, so your blades are ready to deal with them.

Right after the undead, there's on the way rune. She's pretty hard to miss, so make sure you interact with her to add her to your Codex.

Climb the wall at the end of the path and deal with undead upstairs. Then continue up the next wall before being rudely interrupted.

Boss Fight: How to Defeat the Huntress in God of War: Ragnarok

Huntress- a mythical enemy that killed everyone Vikings in the area, so it's time to deal with her. Luckily, it's pretty straight forward. Dodge while rolling out of the way and attack when you have a damage window. She will shoot fire arrows at the ground, which you must also dodge. Wait for her horns to glow and then throw at them ax Leviathanto stun her. This will give you a window of opportunity to do some serious damage. Repeat to unlock Light Rune Attack called The bite of winter. Then climb the wall you were trying to climb earlier and continue on to the building that Atreus is pointing to.

As you make your way through the temple, you will come to an area with a collapsed pillar blocking your path. Try to yank it and you will notice that it is stuck on the tree trunk. You can knock him out by throwing your Leviathan axand then finally pull the pole out of the way. Climb up the stairs. Atreus will lead you to a hidden doorway and Kratos will follow him inside for further exposure.

Once you have regained control of Kratos, after all the cutscenes, follow Atreus forward. He will point to a crack in the ground, so climb up the nearby ledge and break through the crack. Directly ahead is a red chest with silver и raw hide inside. Once you're done, climb back up to Atreus on the ledge you used to break through the ground. Unroll the chain and move forward. You will end up in the arena with a handful enemies and their stronger the chief, so be sure to kill them all. Then pick up the log and follow Atreus forward down the path.

Directly ahead on the path is a red chest. Climb up the ledge and you'll find yourself in familiar surroundings: home again, with Sindri waiting for you. Follow Sindri, who will open the gate to take you to a safe haven. Once you pass through the gate, you will complete the Survival in Fimbulwinter quest (Surviving Fimbulwinter).

It will take you to the realm between the worlds and to a new place called House of Sindri. Go through the door to trigger a cutscene. In the end, you will be able to improve your weapon и armor, so spend some time on this before talking to Sindri at the back of the room. Then go outside to the magic gate.

Assemble Mimir from the contraption Brock and Sindri placed him in, then use your recently purchased Yggdrasil Kingdom Seedsto go to Svartalfheim. As soon as you arrive at Svartalfheim, you start searching for Tyr.
