War Mongrels - Release Date and New Trailer for WWII Tactical Game
Finally, we have found out the release date of the tactical game War Mongrels from the Polish studio Destructive Creations. The developers have announced that the title will debut on PC on October 19 this year.
The project will offer a story-based campaign based on a true story that will show the path of two Wehrmacht soldiers from deserters to resistance fighters. As the game progresses, more and more like-minded people will join them. They all have unique abilities and advantages, and it's up to you to find the perfect combination to defeat your enemy in an ever-changing environment. Stealth, sabotage, silent kills and the ability to use the environment to your advantage are just some of the skills on which success will depend, and a rich arsenal of weapons will help you complete the tasks of the mission. And since the goal of each hero is to save lives and try to survive, the heroes of the game, instead of fleeing from the war, as originally planned, strive to save as many ordinary people as possible.
Was Mongrels will be sold on Steam and the Epic Games Store. On the Epic Games Store, you can pre-order at a promotional price, which is 20% off the standard price. There are further plans to release War Mongrels also on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, the developers are not yet ready to give release dates for these versions.
On the occasion of the release date on PC, Destructive Creations has released a new trailer that focuses on the profiles of two squad members - Ewald and Lucas - and showcases their talents. The press release also features a commentary by Marcin Stanek of Destructive Creations. In it, he stated that the image of the Second World War in the public mind is greatly distorted and full of white spots. Also, the stories of this conflict, told from a different point of view than the US, cannot break through the market. The developers want to change this by offering interactive and immersive gaming experiences. Whether they succeed, we will find out in two months.
