Wild Terra 2 is out of early access and officially debuted, but #empty
A sunbox MMO called Wild Terra has received a sequel in the form of Wild Terra 2 New Lands. It's a buy-to-play game - you can buy it for less than 30 bucks with no promotion. Is it worth catching the second part, since the first is available?
Theoretically yes. As the creators themselves admitted, the original reached the peak of its technological capabilities and the developers did not have much opportunity to develop an MMORPG without interfering with the engine, etc. This, in turn, would involve an almost complete overhaul of the game, which led to the decision to release a sequel that is in every way a better version of the original. However, the assumptions have remained the same and Wild Terra 2 is still a PvP focused sandbox.
The old game servers were marked "Legacy", new worlds opened up and everyone was warmly invited to play. Unfortunately, according to Steamcharts, many volunteers don't have them. At its peak, 275 people came to the premiere, and on average about 50 of them play. By comparison, a year and a half ago, when Wild Terra 2 launched Early Access, there were 1200 people playing at the peak, and an average of 690. Over time, these numbers have declined, and it has never been so good. So far, the premiere of the full game has not changed much, but it still can change.
Despite everything, interested in the game I refer to Steam. Or maybe some of you will love the fork!
