Windows 11 - Named the reasons for the unpopularity of the browser

The new operating system from Microsoft turned out to be unclaimed among users due to technical problems. About it сообщает Tech Advisor publication.

The journalists studied the current Lansweeper report. Of the 10 million PCs tested, only 0,21 percent of devices are running Windows 11, according to the analytics firm. By comparison, the rarity Windows XP is about 3,62 percent, and the OS hasn't been supported by the software maker since 2014.

Experts called the reasons for the unpopularity of the operating system. The authors emphasized that Lansweeper experts mostly analyzed the computers of corporate users. Journalists suggested that the new OS is incompatible with devices from public and private enterprises.

The material also states that Windows 11 has high system requirements that the user must consider when installing the OS. For example, Microsoft requires PC owners to have at least 1000 MHz processors, a TPM 2.0 module, and Secure Boot. “Millions of Windows 10 devices are simply not compatible with Windows 11,” the authors summed up.

At the end of October, StatCounter agency specialists reported that Windows 10, with a share of 75 percent, is the most popular OS from Microsoft in Russia. On the second and third places are Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
