World of Tanks Console Moves to Next Generation Platforms
Backward compatibility allows tankers to take their battles to the next level.
The World of Tanks Console is proud to announce that its popular team-based tank battler is rolling out to PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X/S as a result of full backwards compatibility.
With faster load times, more stable and higher frame rates, higher resolutions and better input lag, tankers will be able to defeat their enemies more clearly than ever, using the power of next generation machines to control the battlefield.
With over 20 million players currently on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One, and cross-platform gameplay in place since the summer, World of Tanks Console will bring day one backwards compatibility to next-gen consoles around the world.
This means tankers can continue their quest for dominance on the latest Sony and Microsoft hardware, resuming their path to a personal account from past generations of consoles and keeping their well-deserved achievements, or simply returning and reviving their old account.
Creative Director T.J. Wagner said:
“On behalf of the World of Tanks Console team, I want to say how proud I am that we are one of the first games as service partners to announce backwards compatibility on next generation console platforms. Our success over the past 6,5 years has attracted over 20 million players to our game, and we're excited to give our tankers a chance to take their steel horses into battle on the most powerful consoles. We loved every second of this journey and can't wait to see our players enjoy this enhanced tank combat experience! »
