World Of Tanks Doesn't Start After Update 1.11. What to do?
Many fans of World Of Tanks faced the problem of not being able to launch the game after update 1.11. Here's how to fix it!
Our colleagues from Wotpack have prepared instructions on how to enter World Of Tanks after patch 1.11 WorldOfTanks.exe.
This file did not disappear on its own, it was deleted by your antivirus (at the moment this is mostly observed by Avast users). Due to a false positive, it sends the exe file (responsible for launching the game) to quarantine.
To start World Of Tanks, you first need to add the entire folder with the game to exceptions your antivirus. Let's look at the step-by-step algorithm using an example Avast:
Launch Avast antivirus. In the lower left corner, click "Settings".
In the left panel, click "General", then expand the panel on the right side of the screen "Exceptions".
In the exclusions panel on the tab "File Paths" click on the button "Overview".
Specify the path to the folder with the installed game (for example, D:\Games\World_of_Tanks) and click OK.
The path to the game folder will appear in the list of antivirus exclusions. Click OK to close the settings window.
- Done, the folder with the game has been added to the trusted zone of the antivirus.
- After that, we recommend that you add the game client file WorldOfTanks.exe to the trusted zone of the Avast firewall to avoid network connection problems. Expand the instructions below to see if your version of Avast has a firewall.
Then restore the quarantined game files or run a client integrity check in Game Center. For this:
The developers have already informed the manufacturer of the antivirus about the difficulties that have arisen and are expecting a solution to the problem soon.
