A new Genshin Impact 2.6 leak claims that HoYoverse is going to fix Yae Miko's elemental skill after widespread criticism from players.
After her difficult launch in the Genshin Impact version 2.5 update, fans demanded that hoyoverse made changes to Yae Miko's Elemental Skill.
According to a new datamining, the controversial 5-star hero will reportedly have turret fixes with the upcoming update.
Correction of Yae Miko in Genshin Impact 2.6
After months of waiting, some players were disappointed when Yae Miko was finally added as a playable character in the Gacha RPG. Many were disappointed by the character's slow attack animation, the lack of invincibility frames, and the randomization of how her elemental skill targeted enemies.
While HoYoverse hasn't confirmed if they'll fix most of the complaints, the new 2.6 leak claims that her Sesshou Sakuras will be redesigned with the way she attacks NPCs.
Well-known insider Ubatcha announced the update on Twitter and wrote: "[2.6 Beta] Yae change. Sesshou Sakura Yae now prioritizes 'Closest' enemies instead of 'Random'. Below is a video from beta 2.6 by Yukikami_Kris showing this changed behavior.
In the cutscene, Electro Hero's turrets now fire lightning bolts at the enemy closest to the totem left on the ground. The change was immediately greeted with praise by fans of the catalyst user from Inazuma.
“Maybe it's not much, but I'm glad they don't ignore her problems. I'm so happy!" written by the player. "She's fixed, oh my god! I love HoYoverse!!” and “Finally, damn it! YES BUFFS! Let them go!” read two comments.
Not everyone was happy with the changes, as some users criticized the Chinese developer for focusing on the wrong issues to change with Yae Miko.
"The change she badly needs is her E so she doesn't get destroyed with every damn explosion," a user tweeted. Another agreed and wrote: “Still not enough. We need more." One comment simply stated, "They should fix her slow ass attacks! Her damn jerk is so slow.
While Yae Miko isn't getting i-frames or fixing her animation speed, the reported version 2.6 update for turret aiming at least shows that HoYoverse is aware of community feedback.
Only time will tell if the developer decides to make further changes to the 5-star hero. The new change introduced in the beta may not be final.
