Genshin Impact 2.7 Delay: What Characters and Weapons to Expect in Filler Banners?
Genshin Impact has announced a delay in version 2.7 but has yet to reveal the content that will arrive during the 2.6 patch expansion. The Ayaka banner will live until May 11, 2022, and the community has no idea what's next.
As usual, leading insiders in the community have come up with some credible claims about special program 2.7 and upcoming content. They have revealed the new date for the 2.7 live stream and the banners that may appear during the delay.
Genshin Impact 2.7 livestream could take place on May 20th
Reliable insider Uncle Y claimed:
- HoYoverse will not release new banners during the delay.
- Special Program 2.7 will now take place on 20 May 2022.
If Uncle Y is right, players shouldn't expect any new banners after Ayaka in Genshin Impact version 2.6. In the coming weeks, only the Standard Banner will be available instead of the new Character Event Wishes Banner and Banner Embodiment deities.
There is a chance that Genshin Impact will bring back a five-star character from the Standard Banner like Diluk or Ke Qing during the delay.
Well-known dataminer Lumie stated that version 2.7 has been delayed by three weeks. Therefore, it makes sense for the 2.7 livestream to happen on or after May 20th.
(Doubtful) 2.7 delayed by 3 weeks. During this time, please remember to be respectful as Hoyoverse has no control over real life events.
If Lumi's prediction is correct, version 2.7 should be released on June 1, 2022. Ideally, this should have been the release date for the second half of version 2.7, which was expected to bring Arataki Itto's banner with Kouki Shinobu.
Will Genshin Impact cut version 2.7?
During the 2.7 beta, HoYoverse reduced the amount of EXP required to level up the Battle Pass from 1000 to 600. Beta testers and players alike speculated that this was to include a shortened version of the Battle Pass in patch 2.7 that travelers would be able to complete in just three weeks .
However, the latest leaks and rumors tell a different story. The changes mentioned above in the Battle Pass have been reverted and none of the patches will be expanded/reduced. They are simply repositioned.
