We waited! For PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS The long-awaited and promising winter update #24 is out!
Of the innovations: a new map, a large number of new systems and adjustments to old ones, as well as a bunch of fresh content for connoisseurs of the "royal battle".
Siberian frosts at the cosmodrome
The main innovation is a new map, which has been talked about for a long time. Vikendi is a snow-covered island somewhere in the depths of the Czech Republic or another country from the Slavic states, on which huts, castles, churches and the highlight of the map are scattered - a spaceport with a real rocket! The map size is 6x6 km, so the dynamics on Vikendi will be slightly higher than on Erangel and Miramar. But this does not mean that you have to run back and forth with the same red eyes as on the Sanok. In the snow-covered lands, you will have to pay more attention to tactics, because there are much more open spaces here and correct positioning is more important than ever.
There are many locations on Vikendi, and they are very diverse! You can jump on the Villa, a kind of decorated hut, and fight in close combat. And you can, for example, choose the big city of Dobro-Mesto, located on the west coast, and try not only to survive, but also to get a car: you will probably have to drive more than one kilometer to the nearest safe zone.
In addition, Vikendi has added mechanics unique to the map that fit well into the game. For example, footprints in the snow left by players. By following them or tire prints, you can track down the target, but over time, as in real life, the wind sweeps them up! Therefore, if you see suspicious drawings in the snow, know that the enemy is nearby.
And yet, since all the rivers and lakes on the map are iced over, when traveling by transport, do not forget about the reduced grip. On ice, the control will be more difficult, and the time for full acceleration will increase. And, of course, transport will be brought in fairly. Drift fans on ice will appreciate it!
As for zones, they are distributed a little differently on Vikendi than on other maps. The first zone will be smaller than on Erangel, Miramar or Sanhok, but the second one will be much larger than usual. Therefore, in the first two stages of the game, you will have more time to develop a plan to capture the first place. However, after that you will have to play more dynamically, so do not stagnate on one spot!
Vikendi came out as a truly unique and interesting card. Perhaps the best in PUBG at all: the abundance of strategies and tactics goes well with excellent visual design and the atmosphere of the post-Soviet space. From the snow-covered forests filled with the echo of shots, sometimes it takes your breath away. Like in some war movie! Thanks to this, it is simply impossible to play enough on Vikendi, every time it pleases with something new.
Here is a city with beautiful European architecture, and a village similar to the one where you visited your grandmother in the summer, and, of course, a spaceport, to hell with it! In addition, the order in which the zones are distributed allows enough time to prepare for the action, after which the narrowing of the zones provides more dynamics. In a word, playing Vikendi is more pleasant than ever.
New weapon
Also, with update #24, a new weapon was added to the game. Meet the G36C! A replacement for the SCAR-L that is only found on the Vikendi. Responsive and accurate unit with the possibility of pumping any relevant modules, except for the stock. The weapon uses 5.56 caliber, and the standard magazine holds thirty rounds with the possibility of pumping up to forty.
Well, what about in the snow without a snowmobile? It is designed for two passengers and serves as the best means for moving quickly through the snow. The sound of his engine is unmistakable.
The developers have not forgotten about the novice directors! With the update, the game has a replay editor so that you can create beautiful videos about your achievements, victories and epic failures. The editor allows you to choose angles, set up camera spans, and even add special effects! The innovation is great: content creators of the game will be delighted, and everyone else should expect entire PUBG movies. Machinima is always fun. Better and better
Naturally, it was not without pleasant changes and “patches”. The developers slightly tweaked the mechanics and improved the interface. But what is especially cool is the redesigned landing system. Now the process feels much smoother: the camera does not jump, and the player has more control over the behavior of the character in the air. Using the control buttons, you can accelerate and slow down; you can cut parachute lines on the move, even if you're not stuck, and landing animations no longer slow you down. Everything is smooth, fast and pleasant.
The title system has improved too! Your rank will now be visible to all lobby members. For the ranks themselves, you will receive cosmetic items at the end of each season, so there was another reason to show everyone who here loves chicken the most.
In addition, a tab with statistics for the current season has appeared in the menu so that you can keep track of your achievements in the ranking table. The title system is currently in its beta testing phase, but it is already fully operational and will appeal to everyone for whom rank in PUBG is as important as a good mood from the game. From the interface, in addition, you can select a new screen for selecting maps and modes, much more convenient than the previous one.
Well, probably one of the most important aspects of the update is optimization improvements! It is now much more convenient to play, and I did not notice jumps in the frame rate per second at all. Bravo developers!
Update #24 was a success. It not only breathed even more life into the game, bringing new content, but also made this very life more comfortable. The new map leaves only positive emotions, you want to play it again and again. Well, the reworking of mechanics and other improvements decorate an already rich content patch. In three words, the best PUBG update ever!
