90,000 Warzone cheater bans today, but gamers demand more

Call of Duty: Warzone devs are back on the rampage with bans, and over 90 accounts have been banned in a short amount of time.
It's been over two years since Warzone was first released to the gaming world, and in that time it's had more than its fair share of problems with scammers and suspicious accounts.
Since hackers have taken over the battle royale from time to time, the developers have been on full alert to prevent law-abiding gamers from spoiling the game. This has led to countless waves of bans and the introduction of Ricochet's anti-cheat software, though some players are still skeptical of its powers.
Well, in response to these naysayers, Raven Software has added another insane number of accounts to the banned list as they continue their cleanup efforts.
RICOCHET was first introduced back in December, but players had their doubts about whether it worked.
While announcing some of the changes coming to Spawn Island in the near future with the Enhanced map update, the developers also noted that they are rooting out some of the most suspicious accounts in Warzone.
“#TeamRICOCHET update: 90 accounts have been removed in waves of bans this week. Happy Friday,” they said, which immediately led to some celebration from the players.
“I have noticed fewer tbh scammers. Keep it up!" one impressed player said. "Haven't run into a hacker in a while, GG," added another.
Of course, not everyone shares the excitement of the wave of bans, and many say anti-cheat needs a "tune-up" if they're only banning 90 accounts a week.
Others have asked the developers about how many "innocent" accounts have also been caught in the crossfire, with some stating that they were caught in a ban wave despite being low K/D players.
Players who believe that they have grounds for an illegal ban can submit a request to the developer support team. However, for those legitimate scammers who have been banned, it can be difficult to return to the fight.
