Mushroom Man in Fortnite Appears Randomly in the Game!
Things are getting a little scarier in Fortnite right now. We just had a set of Nightmares that turns knocked out players into Shadows, and the haze level and in-game visibility tends towards 0. While making your way through this lingering haze, you could come across a creepy-looking Mushroom-like figure standing in the fog.
What exactly is going on? Well, there have been some clues in the files found that may indicate what to expect from this possible new addition to the game.
To clarify one thing, this model that appears is based on a long-leaked skin called Madcap (Madcap). This item has been in the archives for a long time, but never made it to the store.
It's quite an interesting skin, so it was surprising that it hasn't been released yet. However, it is now in question whether this outfit will ever see the light of day. Mobile players have occasionally seen the outline of the skin in-game. He just stands and is all black. It doesn't move or make any noise, and it looks like it's some sort of bug. You can see what it looks like in the video below.
While this has been happening for a while, more information has recently been leaked that the model will make some sounds when it is found:
We will be getting a quest/challenge that uses the Madcap model and it will use these sounds, i have no other infos but i'll try to find some. pic.twitter.com/JvW82aoFVh

These sounds are pretty creepy, so they're probably related to the current Nightmare event in some way. Another similar NPC has also been leaked and this Snowman , which will obviously be in the game to give you some kind of quests. This may be a new mechanic invented by Epic. Based on some of the Snowman's text lines, it seems that you will be able to interact with them in the game and receive some kind of quest/challenge that you can complete during this game. This would certainly be a pretty interesting new addition that could change the gameplay experience. While dodging other players, you might want to complete one of these quests to get loot or even experience!
Unfortunately, nothing is official at this point, and this could just be something Epic has been working on in the past. Not everything leaked online or in the files makes it into the game, so we'll just have to wait and see how these NPCs fare!
