Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening is the third Devil May Cry game, and is the first installment in the series, chronologically speaking. The events of the game begin at Dante's store, to which an unknown named Arkham comes and appoints him a meeting with Virgil, Dante's brother. Dante hurries to meet his brother in the hope of preventing the opening of the gates to the demon world. On a journey full of dangers, the girl Lady goes with him - who is driven by revenge on her father, who went over to Vergil's side, while killing his wife. The pair are sent up the demonic tower, destroying everyone and everything in their path.
The game consists of levels through which you should advance, while destroying opponents and increasing skill points, solving all kinds of quests along the way. Almost all levels end with a boss, for the destruction of which the player receives new abilities or weapons. Innovative in the series was the appearance of special fighting styles, one of which the player can choose at the beginning of the level and at control points. There are six styles in total - four basic ones available from the beginning of the game and two that Dante will acquire as he progresses.
