Beacons Discovered in Two Fortnite Locations
Two new beacons have been spotted over the frozen lake where Oil Grove used to be and in the Lush Palms of the Battle Royale.
The new map was not introduced in Fortnite Battle Royale, instead the developers decided to have a map that constantly changes with the storyline. During these seasons we have seen many new locations, some removed and new biomes added.
At the beginning of Season X, we were informed that the old areas would be returning to the map, but not quite in the way we remember them. We know which points will change once we see a Rift Beacon appear at this location, and there are two new Rift Beacons that have appeared on the map today.
Here are the two beacons that were added today:
LIGHTHOUSE IN LUSH PALMS
The first lighthouse that was seen on the map is not a big surprise and can be found in Lush Palms. At the beginning of the season, you could see that the welcome sign in The Palms was changed, which hinted at the return of the Marsh Mire.
We also saw in previous updates that there is more grass growing around the pool where there used to be sand. The Muddy Bog will most likely return after activating the Rift Beacon, but it will most likely be changed. It's possible that we'll see elements like Bogs and Lush Palms in the new POI, but we'll have to wait to see what Epic has in mind for that.
LIGHTHOUSE ON A FROZEN LAKE
The second Lighthouse is located on a frozen lake, where Oil Grove used to be. You can still see some of the rooftops that used to be there, and it looks like she will most likely return to Fortnite.
Butter Grove has been a very popular area to land on and is definitely one to be expected by the Fortnite community. Again, the Epics have warned that they will change the Grove and it will appear before us in a new form.
