Hearthstone Rise of Shadows Update Full Description

Rise of Shadows, the new expansion for Hearthstone, is out! The League of EVIL is in full force, the goal has been chosen, and the plans have been carried out!

Shadow Revenge

The most famous villains in Hearthstone have united under the leadership of the supervillain Rafaam, choosing the unsophisticated but very appropriate name for their organization, the "League of EVIL"!

Let's find out what new mechanics and properties the League of EVIL will bring to the game in Rise of Shadows!

• New Creatures: henchmen — 1/1 creatures with weak stats but powerful warcries. Special EVIL cards add them to the player's hand.
• New spells: intrigues - spells that get stronger every turnthat are in the player's hand.
• New property: doublets - spells that, when cast, form copies in hand that do not disappear at the end of the turn.
• A new take on familiar mechanics — the evil villains from past expansions are well prepared: in Rise of Shadows, we will once again encounter some forbidden cards, Omega cards, treasures and cards that can be played repeatedly.

Legendary Expansion Missions

Starting today and every day when you log in, you will be able to complete special legendary quests for a limited period after the release of the expansion.

• Day 1: Play 25 cards in Play mode.
  • Rewards: 1 set each of Rise of Shadows and The Witchwood.
• Day 2: Complete 5 duels in Play mode.
  • Rewards: 1 Rise of Shadows and The Boomsday Project card pack.
• Day 3: Draw 20 cards from the deck in any mode.
  • Rewards: 1 set each of Rise of Shadows and Rastakhan's Rumble.
• Day 4: Win 1 game in Play mode.
  • Rewards: 1 set each of Rise of Shadows and The Witchwood.
• Day 5: Play 100 cards.
  • Rewards: 1 set each of Rise of Shadows, The Witchwood, and Rastakhan's Rumble.

This legendary neutral sorcerer and defender of Dalaran will automatically add to your collection if you log into the game from April 4 to June 8.

Year of the Dragon

The Year of the Dragon has begun and we are saying goodbye to the year of the Mammoth expansions. You will no longer be able to purchase sets from Expedition to Un'Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, and Kobolds and Catacombs, and cards from these expansions will no longer be available in standard game modes.

In addition, with the release of Rise of Shadows, the Arena will begin a regular rotation of cards from current and past expansions. For starters, we're going to make the maps available to play... definitely sinister. While playing in the arena, you will be able to use cards from the following sets:

• base;
• classical;
• "Naxxramas";
• "Awakening of the Old Gods";
• "The Evil City of Gadgetzan";
• "Witch Forest";
• "Revenge of Shadows"
