Unlocking this alternate ending unlocks the "Reunion" trophy and achievement. One of the main features of the new ending is that you can get it only after the first passage and launch of the "New Game+".
This guide explains how to get the alternate ending. It is only available in New Game Plus and requires you to find all 12 Marker Fragments and place them in the Admin Rooms.
How to get a new ending in Dead Space Remake?
So, how do you get the new Dead Space Remake ending? First, you need to complete the game for the first time, on any difficulty, to unlock the New Game+ functionality.
After that, a new type of collectible item called "Marker Fragments" will appear in New Game Plus. Collect all 12 marker fragments during New Game Plus.
After finding all 12 marker fragments, go to Crew Deck > Executive Quarters > Captain B. Matius' Office (Lt. Commander V. Holt on the map). Place all marker fragments on the table with 12 pedestals.
After that, complete the game to get a new secret ending in the Dead Space ending. The new ending will also unlock the Reunion achievement.
