The game features some of the most beloved League of Legends champions and will be available across multiple platforms.

The announcement came after the second game of the LoL Worlds finals, after Suning equalized with DAMWON Gaming.

Riot has made a concerted effort to break into new genres with the release of Valorant and Legends of Runeterra, expanding the company's brand and portfolio beyond the reach of traditional LoL players.

Riot has also been clear about its desire to move away from PC and into console and mobile gaming. League of Legends: Wild Rift, a port of the original non-PC game, recently went into open beta.

Fans have been calling for the creation of a LoL RPG for years, so the announcement caused a huge buzz. There are many more details to be clarified, such as the mysterious identity of the Ruined King.

What do we know about Ruined King: A League of Legends Story

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story – is a single-player turn-based role-playing game that was the first publishing project of Riot Forge. It was developed by Airship Syndicate (led by famed comic book author Joe Madureira), who created Battle Chasers: Nightwar and Darksiders Genesis. Thanks to Ruined King, newcomers will be able to get acquainted with the universe of the League, and experienced players will be able to uncover new secrets of an already familiar world.

The action takes place in two areas of Runeterra. Bilgewater is a port city where sea monster hunters, bandits and traders from all over the world live. The gloomy islands are covered with a veil of black fog that destroys everything it touches. Players will assemble a group of beloved League of Legends champions to take on a mysterious enemy - Ms. Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke.

Ruined King expands the world of Runeterra for new players and those who have long known and loved League of Legends. It will be the first single-player RPG set in the League universe on consoles and PC.
