Tarik makes an ace in Counter-Strike 2, which stuns his fans

After years of rumors, limited beta Counter-Strike 2finally came out and it took Tarik less than two games before he registered his first Ace on a brand new engine Source 2. Valve has kept fans and FPS enthusiasts on their toes for years, filled with anticipation of what Counter-Strike's successor Global Offensive could potentially offer to its rival. After numerous leaks and buzz about the Source 2 engine being coded in CS:GO, Valve officially put an end to the rumors and announced a "Limited Test" beta on March 22, 2023.

With his promise of a complete "overhaul of every system, every piece of content, and every part of the CS experience," a select few content creators including Michael "Shroud", Eric "fl0m", Alex "Machine" and Jordan "n0thing" have been granted special access to test these new promises and test the Source 2 engine.

New game, old Tarik

During his livestream on March 22, 2023, after waiting for access to a limited test beta of CS 2, popular American content creator and former CS pro, "Tariq" Celik managed to stun his viewers with Ace in his second game on Valve's new shooter.

After tweaking his settings and playing a couple of deathmatches, the former Evil Geniuses shooter jumped into his first game of unranked competitive Counter-Strike 2.

With the game playing with the best in North America in the form of n0thing and Shroud, the first map was played with care and everyone was trying to get a feel for the new engine.

However, it didn't take too long for Tarik to get a feel for the game as he showed it off on the next map. The round in question started with the Sentinels content creator pushing out the podium before pulling two CT players near A.

With two clear headshots, the 27-year-old himself couldn't believe how the new Source 2 engine worked. After hunting down the remaining three players on the map and accumulating five headshots, a nonchalant Tarik stated:

"I got the first ace of CS 2."

Before Celik could celebrate his accomplishment, Eric "fl0m" was quick to remind the New Yorker that it doesn't matter who gets the first ace in the game, it's who gets the first ace on the Internet that matters.

These were indeed wise words, as several content creators have since uploaded their respective aces to the internet, and British CS pro Owen "smooya" was another person who managed to eliminate all five opponents during a live broadcast.

Understandably, Selick fans were underwhelmed by his first ace, with many "EZ", "Sheeeeesh" spam messages, and a popular PogU Twitch BTTV emote to encourage and promote their "Lil Bro".
