Fortnite Leak Reveals Return Of Midas - Possibly As A Zombie Or Ghost
A new Fortnite leak suggests that Midas and his spies may return as undead NPCs during this year's Fortnitemares event.
Although we haven't seen him in the game in months, Midas may be the most important character in all of Chapter 2. Like the Visitor from Chapter 1, his actions set off a wave that we still see to this day.
One of the most interesting Fortnite theories even positions Midas as one of the few self-aware AI programs in Battle Royale. If this is true, then his death from a shark attack at the start of season 3 becomes much more tragic.
Of course, Midas and his legend live on in the Battle Royale universe. This season, Epic introduced a rare Midas fish that turns your entire inventory into gold after you catch and consume it.
In fact, Epic has even announced that it will return as a skin in their bundle. last laugh at the end of this year. Based on his new clothes, it looks like Midas may have gotten his hands on one of Tony Stark's Iron Man suits.
However, based on a recent leak, it looks like Midas will be returning to Fortnite sooner than we originally thought. According to miners Hypex and Intercelluar, there are unused NPCs in the Fortnite game files. One of them is Midas himself.
As Hypex acknowledges, this is likely for the upcoming Forntitemares event. Midas will reportedly be accompanied by ghostly ghost henchmen with rifles, pump-action shotguns, submachine guns, and pumpkin grenade launchers. Midas, for his part, will have 100 health and 350 shields. He has a golden scar in the game files that is subject to change but will most likely be replaced by his proprietary Mythic Drum Gun.
Unfinished NPCs most likely for Fortnitemares, thanks to @intercelluar for bringing this to my attention!

Midas (Maybe another version of him):
- Has a Gold Scar, probably a placeholder
Has 100 HP & 350 Shields
Ghostly Ghost Henchman
- Has an AR, Pump, SMG or Pumpkin Launcher
This is all the information we have right now, but we can speculate a bit based on what we know. We assume that Midas and his ghostly ghost minions will inhabit the Administration. They can even close the vault and reset the keycard for the players.
All signs point to Midas returning for a limited time, but that doesn't mean he'll be dead forever. We expect Midas to continue to play a huge role in the Chapter 2 storyline - possibly starting with his revival during Fortnitemares 2020.
