Vigil: The Longest Night - How to Heal and Restore Stamina?

guide

Guide on how to heal in Vigil: The Longest Night.

guide

Health is such an important part of video games as it keeps you going in just about every game you play. It's extremely rare that you want your health to be so low that one hit could kill you. In games like Dark Souls and Sekiro, which punish you severely, health must always be kept in mind. Stamina is also a key mechanic, as if you don't have any stamina left, you can't dodge or attack, which means you'll die 99% of the time. Vigil: The Longest Night took its biggest inspiration from Bloodborne and incorporated it into its game. So how do you heal and regenerate stamina in Vigil: The Longest Night? Let us tell you.

How to treat?

There are two important bars in Vigil: health and stamina. Health in 99% of games is a red bar. When you get hit, this bar depletes, and the more powerful the attack, the more health is lost. If this health bar reaches 0, you die.

There are two ways to heal, technically three, but the third one isn't available yet as it's a weapon enchant. The first is to drink a healing potion - to do this, press the "Up" button on the D-pad. You can see how many health potions you have by looking at the left side of the health bar. If you don't have potions there, you won't be able to heal. However, potions can be replenished by killing enemies and finding them in the world.

The second way of healing is interaction with owl statues. As soon as you interact with them, your health is instantly restored. You do not need save your game just interact with it. But if you are at the owl statue, it is still advisable to save the game!

How to restore stamina?

Stamina Bar - Another important bar in Vigil: The Longest Night is the blue bar below the health bar. This bar will start to deplete when you attack or dodge, but will automatically refill after a short delay. It can be completely depleted if you constantly attack and dodge. If this happens, Layla will stop moving to catch her breath, meaning that she is unable to move for a short period of time.

In Vigil: The Longest Night, there is no set combo for your attacks; there are 4 attacks, which are then repeated. If you stop and press the attack button, you can keep doing this until you run out of stamina. It's the same with rolling; you can roll indefinitely until your stamina bar is empty.

Both health and stamina can be upgraded with the General Skill Tree as you level up.
